Home Our Program
Serious learning, disguised as play.
Our kindergarten program for children aged 3–5 is guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and led by a university-qualified early childhood teacher. Ask the children, though, and they will tell you they simply played all day. That is exactly the point.

Part one
Play-based learning
Children learn with their whole bodies, their hands and their imaginations. Our teacher prepares rich invitations to play, then follows each child's curiosity with questions, materials and encouragement.
A tower that falls becomes physics and persistence. A pretend shop becomes maths, language and negotiation. Because play is purposeful, children practise the foundations of reading, counting, science and social problem-solving in ways that feel joyful and memorable.
- Guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline
- Led by a university-qualified early childhood teacher
- Child-led projects shaped by the children's own interests
- Early literacy and numeracy woven into real experiences
- Individual learning documented and shared with families

Part two
Nature & outdoor play
Our leafy outdoor classroom is the heart of the kindy. It gives children space to move boldly, care for living things and learn that the natural world is worth noticing.
The mud kitchen, native gardens, shady trees and open grass invite children to dig, build, pour, plant and pretend. Educators support safe risk-taking so children learn to judge their own abilities and care for one another.
- Leafy outdoor classroom with a much-loved mud kitchen
- Native gardens planted and tended by children
- Shady trees and open space for big-body play
- All-weather exploration with gumboots welcome
- Respect for nature practised in everyday moments

Part three
Ready for school
School readiness is not about rushing childhood. It is about growing the confidence, independence and social skills that help each child walk into Prep feeling capable.
Across the kindy year, children practise asking for help, waiting their turn, managing belongings, joining group conversations and recovering when something feels hard. Those small daily moments add up to a confident start.
- Confidence and independence in daily routines
- Friendship and turn-taking through group play
- Language-rich days filled with stories, songs and conversation
- Self-help skills with bags, lunchboxes, hats and choices
- A genuine love of learning to carry into Prep
See it for yourself
The best way to understand our program is to come and play in it.
Visit the kindy, meet our teacher and see how children use the spaces, materials and relationships around them to learn.
